I just submitted my application to graduate.
I still freak out every time someone talks about college acceptances/applications and worry about that process.
But now I'm a quarter and a half away from GRADUATING FROM COLLEGE.
For people who don't know:
I'm getting my Bachelor's of Science in Biology from University of California, Riverside.
I did it in three years.
For my future plans, I'll be staying at UCR over the summer to finish my current research project. Hopefully the data will give me a publishable result and I'll be able to submit it to an academic journal...as primary author!
Afterwards, I will hopefully get a job with the Hopkins Marine Station at Stanford University and work with one of the comparative biomechanics/functional anatomy professors (he's good friends with the professor I work with right now. c: )
After that year break from schooling, if all goes well, I hope I'll be able to attend their graduate program as a student for my masters, although I'm also looking into UC Berkeley's programs.
...then if I haven't decided to dedicate myself to academia and get a phD, I'll ship my ass off to veterinary school.
I also got my first scientific illustration commission today.
I'll get to be a published researcher and science artist!
Please excuse my lack of responding to everything and anything. I have like, 5000+ messages which is a lot for me.
I've been pretty busy and unmotivated regarding digital hobby art. I'm taking "advanced" painting right now at school, and it's been sucking up all my juices. I also have a stupidly large amount of real-life commissions I feel like pushing on the side.
I'm still active on tumblr
or if you want to add me on facebook, just throw a note.
